Deep Cleaning Service in Ilford (IG)
Some homes need more than the weekly wipe-round. Grease builds up on the cooker hood, the shower screen goes cloudy, and dust collects along skirting boards you’d rather not look at. Our deep cleaning service in Ilford deals with the build-up that routine cleaning skips, room by room, and gives you a properly clean starting point again. We cover houses, flats and small premises across IG.
Send us a few photos and tell us what’s bothering you most, and we’ll come back with a clear quote. Call 020 4652 5129 or Email us.
What’s included in a deep clean, room by room
A deep clean goes behind, underneath and inside the places a regular visit only skims. We agree the checklist with you before we start. A typical full house deep clean includes:
Kitchen
- Degreasing cupboard doors, handles and the tops of wall units, where grease and dust combine into a sticky film
- The hob, splashback and the outside of the cooker hood, plus removable metal extractor filters
- Inside cupboards and drawers, once they’ve been emptied
- Inside the microwave and the outside of all appliances
- Inside the fridge, if it’s been emptied and defrosted beforehand
- Descaling taps, the sink, the plughole and the overflow
- Behind lighter appliances where they can be moved safely
- Floors washed by hand, including edges and corners the mop misses
Bathrooms and toilets
- Limescale on shower screens, taps, shower heads and tiles. Hard water in Ilford leaves heavy deposits, so this usually takes longer than people expect
- Scrubbing grout and cleaning surface mould from silicone
- The toilet inside and out, including the base, behind the pan and the seat hinges
- Extractor fan covers, towel rails and radiators
Bedrooms and living areas
- High-level dusting: tops of wardrobes, door frames, picture rails, coving and light fittings within safe reach
- Skirting boards, light switches, sockets and door handles
- Radiators, including behind them where we can reach
- Vacuuming under beds and sofas where furniture can be moved safely
- Inside wardrobes and drawers if they’re empty
- Interior windows, sills and frames, mirrors and glazed doors
Throughout the property
- Hard floors washed and carpets vacuumed thoroughly, edges included
- Bins cleaned inside and out
- Doors wiped down on both sides
A deep clean is a reset. Once it’s done, a lighter regular visit keeps things on track far more easily.
Extras that need agreeing separately
Some tasks need different equipment, extra time or preparation from you, so we quote them on their own:
- Oven interiors. Racks, glass doors and baked-on carbon need a proper oven cleaning process rather than a quick wipe.
- Carpet and upholstery extraction. Vacuuming lifts surface dirt. Hot water extraction goes deeper but needs drying time, so it’s planned in. See our carpet cleaning service.
- External windows and anything that needs ladders or high-level access.
- Fridge-freezers that haven’t been defrosted. We can’t clean the inside properly while there’s ice.
- Moving out. If you’re leaving a rental, book an end of tenancy clean worked against your inventory instead. It’s organised differently from a standard deep clean.
When cleaning isn’t the fix
We’ll tell you honestly when a problem goes beyond what cleaning can solve:
- Recurring black mould from condensation or damp. We can clean the surface, but it’ll come back unless the ventilation or the damp problem is sorted.
- Damaged finishes. Etched glass, scratched enamel, worn worktop sealant and limescale that has pitted chrome are permanent. Cleaning will improve how they look but won’t reverse the damage.
- Hazards such as suspected asbestos, sharps, or heavy pest droppings need a specialist first.
- Old stains on carpets, grout or fabric. We’ll do our best, but some marks have set for good, and we won’t promise they’ll lift.
How long a deep clean takes
It depends on size and condition, and we’ll give you an estimated time with your quote. A tidy one-bedroom flat takes far less time than a family house with several years of build-up behind the cooker. For larger homes we may send two cleaners, or split the work across more than one visit.
The things that add most time are heavy limescale, greasy kitchens, cluttered surfaces we have to work around, and rooms that are still full of belongings.
How booking a deep clean works
- Tell us about the property. Number of rooms, the condition, and what matters most to you. Photos of the kitchen and bathroom help a lot.
- We agree the checklist and price upfront. You’ll know exactly what’s included and what’s an extra before anyone arrives. Larger homes and business premises may need a quick walkthrough first.
- We sort out access. Keys, arrival time, parking and anything we should know about alarms or pets.
- We clean. Our vetted, insured cleaners bring the products and equipment unless you’ve asked us to use your own.
- We check the work. Before leaving, we go back through the agreed list. If something in scope has been missed, contact us promptly so we can arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.
What helps us on the day
- Empty any cupboards, drawers or wardrobes you want cleaned inside
- Clear worktops, bedside tables and shelves of small items where you can
- Defrost the fridge-freezer the night before if it’s on the list
- Tell us about delicate surfaces, allergies, pets or products you’d rather we avoid
What affects the price of a deep clean
Every deep clean is quoted individually, because two three-bed houses can need very different amounts of work. The price depends on:
- Property size and the number of kitchens, bathrooms and toilets
- Condition, and how long it’s been since a thorough clean
- The tasks on your list, and any extras like oven or carpet cleaning
- Whether it’s a one-off or the start of regular visits
- Access: stairs without a lift, parking, and how much furniture needs working around
For a deep clean price estimate, send photos and a room count and we’ll give you a clear figure. You can also see how we work out costs on our pricing page.
Products we use, and keeping surfaces safe
The right product depends on the surface, not on how dirty it looks.
- Descalers stay off natural stone. Acid-based limescale removers etch marble, travertine and limestone, so we use pH-neutral products on stone.
- Test patches first on unfamiliar finishes, painted cupboard doors and older enamel baths.
- Separate cloths. Bathroom and toilet cloths never go near kitchen surfaces. We keep them colour-coded and apart.
- Products used as directed. We follow dilution rates and contact times, and we never mix bleach with acid descalers.
- Food areas rinsed. Worktops, hobs and the inside of the fridge are left safe for food prep.
- Eco-friendly options are available on request, with suitability checked for each surface. Some heavy grease and limescale jobs take a little longer with gentler products.
Deep cleaning in occupied homes and small premises in Ilford
Most of our deep cleans happen in homes people are still living in, so we work around you:
- Pets. We’re fine working around them, but a dog or cat shut in one room makes it easier to keep doors open while floors dry.
- Keys and access. Lots of customers are at work, so we agree key collection or a key safe in advance.
- Parking. Plenty of roads across IG have permit or pay-and-display parking. Tell us if a visitor permit is available, as it saves time unloading equipment.
- Flats and stairs. For upstairs flats, including those above shops with rear entrances, we carry the kit up ourselves. Just let us know how the entrance works.
- Shops and offices. For small business premises, we’ll schedule around your opening hours where possible.
Deep cleaning FAQs
What’s included in a deep clean?
Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas cleaned in detail, including skirting boards, inside empty cupboards, limescale removal, high-level dusting within reach and under movable furniture. The exact checklist is agreed with you before we start.
How long does a deep clean take in Ilford?
It depends on the size and condition of the property. We’ll give you an estimated time when we quote, and send more than one cleaner for bigger jobs if that suits you.
Do you bring your own cleaning products?
Yes. We bring products and equipment unless you’d prefer us to use yours. Tell us about allergies or preferred products before the visit.
Is the oven included?
Not automatically. Oven interiors are a separate task because they need a different process and more time. We can add it to the same visit.
Do I need to be at home?
No. Many customers leave a key or use a key safe. We’ll agree access and arrival time in advance.
Can you deep clean before I move out of a rental?
Yes, but we’d recommend an end of tenancy clean worked against your inventory. No cleaner can guarantee a deposit return, because cleaning can’t fix wear or damage.
How often should I book a deep clean?
Usually once or twice a year, or before you start regular cleaning so routine visits begin from a clean base. Homes with pets or young children often benefit from more frequent deep cleans.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
Usually we can give a guide from a room count and a few photos. We’ll confirm the full price before any work starts.
