Service coverage areas in Ilford – IG postcodes we clean

Cleaning Service Coverage Areas in Ilford and the IG Postcodes

Our service coverage areas in Ilford run from the town centre and Ilford Lane out across the wider IG postcodes, covering homes, rented flats, shops and offices. Send us your postcode and a short description of the job. We’ll confirm whether we can reach you, what timing is realistic and what the clean will involve before anything is booked.

We’d rather check your address properly than promise blanket coverage. Travel time, parking and the day you want all affect when a cleaner can get to you, so the honest answer always starts with your postcode.

Which areas do your cleaners cover around Ilford?

We work across Ilford and the surrounding IG area. These are the districts we’re asked about most:

PostcodeDistrictsTypical properties we clean
IG1Ilford town centre, Cranbrook, Valentines, Loxford, Ilford LaneFlats above shops on the High Road, purpose-built blocks near the station, Victorian terraces, offices and retail units
IG2Gants Hill, Newbury Park, Aldborough Hatch1930s semis, maisonettes, flats near the Gants Hill roundabout
IG3Seven Kings, GoodmayesTerraced family homes, HMOs, rented flats
IG4RedbridgeFamily houses, conversions near Redbridge station
IG5ClayhallSemis and detached homes
IG6Barkingside, Fairlop, HainaultHouses, flats along Barkingside High Street, small commercial premises
IG7, IG8, IG9, IG10Chigwell, Woodford Green, Buckhurst Hill, LoughtonLarger homes, often for deep or one-off cleans
IG11BarkingFlats, new-build developments, shops

If you’re just outside these postcodes, such as Chadwell Heath (RM6) or Manor Park (E12), ask anyway. We’ll tell you straight away whether it’s workable.

How to check availability in your area

Checking takes one message. Call 020 4652 5129, email info@cleaning-ilford.co.uk or use our free quote form, and include:

  1. Your full postcode. The first half isn’t enough. IG6 covers both Barkingside High Street and quieter roads towards Fairlop, and the parking situation is very different.
  2. The type of clean. A weekly tidy, a deep clean, an end-of-tenancy job or a commercial contract all need different amounts of time.
  3. Property size and condition. Number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and anything unusual: a heavily used oven, limescale on a shower screen, renovation dust, pet hair on the stairs.
  4. Preferred dates and times. Give us a couple of options if you can. Flexible bookings are much easier to fit in.
  5. Access and parking. Keys, concierge, entry codes for communal doors, and whether there’s somewhere for a cleaner to park.
  6. Photos for one-off jobs. Two or three pictures of the kitchen and bathroom tell us more than a paragraph.

We’ll come back to you with a confirmed scope, an agreed price and the dates we can actually offer. For commercial premises we may suggest a walkthrough first.

Lead times by district: what affects how soon we can come

We don’t publish a fixed lead time for each district, because the postcode is rarely the deciding factor. These are the things that make the real difference:

  • The type of job. A regular two-hour visit fits into a schedule more easily than a full-day end-of-tenancy clean that needs two cleaners.
  • The day of the week. Fridays and month-ends fill quickly with move-outs, because tenancies tend to finish then. If your check-out is on the 30th, get in touch as soon as you know the date.
  • Existing rounds. If we already have regular clients on your road in Seven Kings or near Valentines Park, a new slot nearby is often easier to arrange.
  • Travel across the area. Getting from Barking to Loughton at rush hour isn’t the same as hopping between Cranbrook Road and Ilford Lane. Outer IG postcodes sometimes need a bit more notice.

For move-outs, booking as soon as you have a check-out date gives us the best chance of offering the day you want. We can then plan the clean for after your furniture has gone, which is when skirting boards, the backs of kitchen units and the floor under the bed can actually be reached.

Same-day slots and short-notice cleans

We sometimes have short-notice availability, but we can’t guarantee same-day cleaning in any part of Ilford or the IG area. It depends on who’s free and where they’re already working that day.

If you need someone quickly, call rather than emailing. Tell us:

  • what absolutely has to be done (a bathroom and kitchen before a viewing, for example)
  • how long you can give us access
  • whether a shorter visit covering the priorities would help

A focused two-room clean is often possible when a full house isn’t. We’ll be honest about what fits in the time.

Is there an out-of-area charge?

Not for addresses within our usual area. If you’re further out and travel time or parking costs affect the job, we’ll say so when we quote, and the price we agree upfront already includes it. You won’t find an unexpected travel charge added once the cleaner has gone.

Our pricing page explains what else affects cost, including property size, condition, frequency and extras such as oven interiors or carpet extraction.

Weekend and evening coverage

We can arrange weekend and early evening cleans across much of the area, subject to availability. They’re popular, so they tend to book up earlier than weekday slots.

  • Homes: Saturday cleans suit people who want to be in when we arrive, or who need a deep clean done before guests visit on Sunday.
  • Shops and offices: We schedule commercial cleaning around your opening hours wherever we can. That means early mornings before a Barkingside shop opens, or evenings after an Ilford office empties. Crumbs under desks, fingerprints on entrance glass and kitchen points that staff use all day get done without anyone working around us. See our office cleaning page for how we set up a regular routine.
  • Communal areas: Hallways and stairwells in blocks are often best cleaned mid-morning on weekdays, once the school run is over and before deliveries pick up.

Parking and access in Ilford: what we need to know

Parking is the most common thing that delays a clean in central Ilford, so it’s worth sorting before the day.

  • Controlled parking zones. Much of IG1 near the town centre and station is permit-only during the day. If you can provide a visitor permit, tell us. If you can’t, we’ll plan around it, and that may affect timing.
  • Flats above shops. On the High Road and Ilford Lane, entrances are often at the back or down a side alley. Tell us exactly which door to use.
  • Blocks with entry systems. Give us the code, the concierge’s name or the key safe location, and whether the lift is ever out of action. Carrying a vacuum and supplies up four flights changes how long a job takes.
  • Keys. We agree key handling in advance, whether that’s meeting you, collecting from an agent or using a key safe. Keys and codes are only used for the agreed visit.

Our cleaners bring their own supplies and equipment unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Let us know about pets, allergies, delicate surfaces such as marble or unsealed wood, or products you’d prefer us to use. Eco-friendly options are available on request, and we check they’re suitable for each surface.

What we clean across the area

The same services are available throughout our coverage, from regular home cleaning in Gants Hill to commercial work in Barking. Our full cleaning services list covers home, tenancy, specialist and commercial cleaning.

Every booking works the same way wherever you live. We agree a checklist that matches the property and the job, the cleaner works through it, and we finish with a check against the agreed tasks. If something within scope has been missed, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.

Coverage questions

Do you cover the whole of Redbridge borough?

We cover most of it. Redbridge stretches from Ilford town centre up to Woodford and Hainault, so send your full postcode and we’ll confirm.

Can I book a regular clean if I’m in an outer IG postcode like Loughton or Chigwell?

Often, yes. It depends on whether we can fit you into a regular round, so give us your preferred day and a backup.

I’m moving from one Ilford address to another. Can you clean both?

Yes, subject to availability. We can quote for the move-out clean at the old property and a clean at the new one before you unpack. Tell us both postcodes and dates.

Do you clean commercial premises outside the town centre?

Yes. Shops in Barkingside, offices near Gants Hill and units further out are all worth asking about. Larger or unusual premises may need a walkthrough before we quote.

What if my address turns out to be outside your area?

We’ll tell you when you first contact us, before any booking or quote is agreed. We won’t take a job we can’t reliably reach.
